There’s nothing like live music on a warm summer evening, or all day long for that matter; the sunshine brings out the music and music lovers. Here are some of the festivals and concert series to catch this summer throughout the Northern Rockies.

June-September | Big Sky Brewing Summer Concert Series | Missoula, MT |

Hosting the Travelers’ Rest weekend concert, featuring the Decemberists and Death Cab for Cutie among others, and wrapping up with the Avett Brothers, Leon Bridges, and Luke Bryan.

July 13-15 | Montana Folk Festival | Butte, MT |

The annual, free event features multiple stages, with continuous live performances centered around folk.

August 10-12 | Targhee Bluegrass Festival | Grand Targhee Ski Resort Driggs, ID |

The 30th annual event draws some of the biggest names in bluegrass, including The Infamous Stringdusters, Sam Bush Band, Railroad Earth, Tim O’Brien, and more.

August 16-18 | Moonlight MUSICFEST | Moonlight Basin | Big Sky, MT |

This inaugural festival kicks off with an impressive list of big name bands, including The Wood Brothers, Bruce Hornsby, Grace Potter, Sam Bush Band, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and more.
