20 Feb “The Last Five Years” At the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center
inThe Warren Miller Performing Arts Center (WMPAC) invites you to enjoy a performance of “The Last Five Years,” this weekend in Big Sky, Montana.
This modern comedy-musical runs February 22-24, and tells the story of a five-year marriage, from both perspectives, in an innovative and engaging dramatic style. Written by Jason Robert Brown, “The Last Five Years” has been named one of TIME Magazines top ten best shows of 2001, and adapted into a feature film in 2014.
The narrative presents a commentary on how people’s life stories can collide, changing the course of one another’s paths. It’s considered an Off-Broadway musical, and boasts 14 original songs. The Washington Post commented that “The Last Five Years” was “very funny and deeply affecting.”
