This 32nd annual event supports the museum as its largest fundraiser, featuring nature paintings and sculptures that promote the care of and appreciation for America’s diverse spectrum of wildlife. Each year, the museum hosts multiple events, both ticketed and public, highlighting leading wildlife artists.

Western design conference exhibit + Sale

This world-class design exhibit features handcrafted furniture, jewelry, clothing, décor, and more from a selection of talented artisans. The Western Design Conference is a juried show and sale attracting thousands of visitors each year.

This inaugural event brings more than 45 national exhibitors to the region, representing some of the nation’s most sought-after artistic talent and ranging 

in genre, style, medium, and price. Exhibitors were chosen for their ability to create works that fit the aesthetics of the Jackson Hole community. A sneak peak event is held on Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m., followed by the two-day exhibition.

The Jackson Hole Art auction is the signature event of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. This year’s featured works include Rusty Ryan by James Bama, Grand Tetons (1871) by Albert Bierstadt, paintings and sculptures by G. Harvey and works by many other renowned American artists.

 

Rendezvous Royale Week

Featuring a live auction, art show, and other spirited events, Rendezvous Royale Week, from September 16 through 21, boasts something for everyone, from free activities to registered sales and the annual Patron’s Ball. Join the fun in Cody, Wyoming, this fall to appreciate the art of the West and add to your collection.

Handmade Western art is the focus of the Invitational Design Exhibition held during the Rendezvous Royale Week. By Western Hands will showcase both functional and decorative pieces in the new design center on 12th Street, and artisan-led workshops are hosted each day. This year’s highlight is woodwork and cabinetry, as well as metal and leatherwork. And don’t miss the limousine tour, “Sawdust, Saddles, and Sips,” where guests can see every workshop in style. Founded as a nonprofit in 2015, By Western Hands promotes artisans through events and related activities that help sustain the creation of decorative and functional art using designs and techniques influenced by the American West.

 

Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale | Buffalo Bill Center of the West | rendezvousroyale.org

The art exhibition, housed in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s John Bunker Sands Photography Gallery, is free to the public each September. During the Friday evening auction on September 20, guests can view the exhibition a final time, then stroll next door to the adjacent party tent for food, drinks, live music, and a spirited live auction. The Saturday morning Quick Draw, on September 21, includes a breakfast for guests while they observe nearly 30 painters and sculptors at work in the Robbie Powwow Garden. The artists often use live models and are required to complete a piece in one hour.
