The Green O, an adults-only woodland retreat in the remote township of Greenough, Montana, opened in June 2021, offering year-round luxury glamping — or what they refer to as “the highest level of Glamping 2.0.” Located 35 miles northeast of Missoula, on the southern edge of the expansive 37,000-acre Paws Up Ranch, it’s owned and operated by The Resort at Paws Up, an adventure destination that’s renowned for luxury homes and glamping experiences. The newly launched venue celebrates Montana through architecture, cuisine, and visitor experiences that are inspired by the surrounding landscape.

The Green O guests are granted access to a Lexus UX SUV to use for the duration of their stay, and they can choose from four unique styles of “design-forward” accommodations: The Tree Haus, elevated 15 feet in the air, features two stories of living space; the Green Haus has a living roof of native grasses that turns the terrace into a meadow-like perch; the Round Haus offers 180-degree views in a curvy modern layout; and the Light Haus’ oversized skylight brings the stars inside. Each layout features floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor/outdoor living spaces, decks with hot tubs, eco-kitchens, and more. And for a touch of seclusion, The Green O limits its capacity to only 24 guests who have access to the surrounding 37,000 acres.

Accompanying The Green O is the Social Haus, a freestanding restaurant located at the center of the property that brings quality cuisine to the fore, serving up distinctive seasonal dishes that are firmly informed by locally-grown, raised, and foraged ingredients.
