ROUND UP: BEST OF THE WEST

Capes by Jennie Montana

Jennie Montana tells stories of the Montana landscape, flora, and fauna through capes created with original appliqué and digitized designs that are placed on Melton wool trimmed with bison. She acquires bison hides from area ranches, then stretches and tans them before integrating them into her pieces. “I save bison hides from being discarded and forgotten,” she says. “Bison continue to tell their stories while living on in my designs.” The fiber artist’s work has been shown at Old Main Gallery in Bozeman, Montana and the Livingston Center for Art and Culture in Livingston, and she won Best Collection of Fashion at the 2024 Western Design Conference in Jackson, Wyoming.

New Peak 88 by Bode and the Peak Ski Company

Designed for skiers by skiers in Bozeman, Montana, Peak Ski Company skis stand up to the test. The New Peak 88 by Bode is an all-mountain ski developed by Olympic gold medalist Bode Miller. The ski was released for the 2024–25 season and was designed to provide a stable, adaptable ride across a variety of terrain types.
