in2017 Juried Photography Exhibition at Old Main Gallery & Framing
With a commitment to the local art community, Old Main Gallery & Framing is hosting their first juried photography exhibition called Montana, The Last Best Place. The gallery has worked closely with juror Steven B. Jackson to ensure an exciting and compelling show. Steven Jackson is Curator of Art and Photography at the Museum of the Rockies, Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He received his MFA in Photography in 1980 and has 35 years of experience as a museum curator. Steve also teaches as an adjunct professor with the Film and Photography Department at Montana State University.
Established in 1964, Old Main Gallery & Framing in Bozeman, Montana has recently undergone an extensive renovation. The gallery is located in a 19th-century building in the heart of historic downtown Bozeman. Old Main Gallery & Framing is a fine art gallery featuring accomplished local and regional artists while offering complete professional picture framing services.
The Last Best place will be the featured exhibition for the month of April. Photographers from across the state of Montana and beyond will have their photographs on display and for sale at the gallery. Over thirty photographers answered the call for entries and thirteen were chosen.
Old Main Gallery & Framing will hold an opening reception the evening of Friday April 7th. This event is open and free to the public. Steven Jackson will be awarding Best of Show during the reception. Wine and hor d'oeuvres. Located at 129 East Main Street in Bozeman.
